Please install the 64-bit version of
Olfolders only if you are using
Microsoft Office
in 64-bit version (at least Office 2010,
2013, 2016).
If you try to install with the wrong
bit version, the setup application will
display error code 3.

Installation
|
|
The OLfolders PE installation
must be executed at the server and at
all clients. You probably want to store
the download on a network drive. At
the server computer, start "OLfoldersServer"
from the start menu.
At each client
you find a new menu item in Outlook,
which allows you to connect to the server:
Tools/OLfolders/Connect to server
On Windows Vista, Windows 7 or
similar, you must install as
Administrator (right click the
installer and select "run as
administrator") otherwise the add-in
will not appear in Outlook.

A well-prepared installation simplifies
the process of getting OLfolders PE up and running quickly
and to optimum effect. After installation the user
manual is available from the Windows
Start menu.

Outlook 2010
|
|
In Outlook 2010 you start
the connection using the ribbon bar:
Quester. The rest of the process
is identical.

Firewalls and other
possible blockades in networks

Attention:
OLfolders PE will not be able to connect,
if it is blocked by a firewall!

OLfolders allows connection of clients
without any license code but will restrict
the view of every folder to 25 elements,
you see only 25 emails, 25 contacts,
25 tasks, 25 appointments etc. The calendar
may appear empty on some systems if
no license is installed.

You will receive a confirmation mail
within a few minutes and your license
key in a separate email.
Please remember that you do not need
to re-install the application, registration
is done by entering the license code
into in a separate email.

Program update
|
|
You can, at any time update your program
version to the newest version available
by downloading a new evaluation version.
If you already purchased a license code,
the new evaluation version will turn
itself into the fully working version
after installation. Updates are only
necessary on the server, clients will
download the new DLLs from the server
automatically.
